Successful second theme session about intellectual property

9/4/2020

The second theme session was organized on April 9, 2020. The session focused on intellectual property strategies. As you can see on the picture the session was online due to the corona crisis. The session was led by Gijs van Hoorn, IP advisor of the Netherlands Patent Office (RVO). In the general introduction Gijs gave a brief overview of different forms of IP. After the general introduction Gijs had 1:1 meetings with all the scale-ups in the BioBizz hub. This gave them the opportunity to pay very specific attention to the questions and challenges of the participants.

The added value of this session was extremely high and we will continue to organize these kind of sessions. The next theme session will be organized on May 29, 2020. This session will be about investor readiness / finance. Bjorn Redmeijer from FLINC will share his experience during this session.

Background

One of the unique aspects of the BioBizz hub is the services we offer the participants. It is impossible for start-ups and scale-ups to have all the relevant knowledge and experience in-house. Participants at the BioBizz hub get access to crucial knowledge in fields like engineering and sales. All with the aim to help the startups to scale up their technology and bring it to the market.

There are several important knowledge fields of which we, at the BioBizz hub, are not the experts. That is why we have set up an extensive network of partners. One way to link our participants with these partners is via theme sessions. Sessions that focus on important issues for the startups.
