BioBizz hub is part of the WaterCampus innovation ecosystem. WaterCampus Leeuwarden is the physical core of the Dutch water technology sector and has the ambition to play a sector uniting role for the rest of Europe as well.
WaterCampus stimulates cooperation between (inter)national businesses, knowledge institutes and governments within the water technology sector, in order to create synergy for world class innovation, education and entrepreneurship. This strengthens the global position of the European water technology sector. Additionally, WaterCampus offers a unique research infrastructure, and is a meeting point for scientists and companies from all over Europe.
The international cooperation organized and stimulated by WaterCampus leads to knowledge, talent and entrepreneurship that contribute to solutions for global water problems.
WaterCampus has developed its own successful innovation chain, in which companies are facilitated in all phases of innovation, from scientific idea to international business.
The managing partners of WaterCampus are:
- Wetsus - with focus on science
- Centre of Expertise Water Technology - with focus on applied research
- Water Alliance - with focus on business
Bringing new technology to the market is, despite the excellent cooperation within the WaterCampus, extremely difficult. The BioBizz hub is excited to bring added value to the WaterCampus network by supporting scale-ups in scaling up and bringing their technology to the market.
